Louis Oosthuizen won the Africa Open by two shots from another South African, Tjaart van der Walt, in East London on Sunday afternoon. The two men shared the overnight lead before a six‑under-par round of 67 gave the title to Oosthuizen, the defending champion, who shot an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys to finish with a four-round total of 25 under par. Van der Walt started the final day with birdies in his first three holes, but he picked up only two more birdies and a bogey to go round in 69. Retief Goosen finished third, three shots off the lead, after he also finished with a 69.

England Lions slipped to a six-wicket defeat against Bangladesh on Sunday, ending up skittled for 139 in Chittagong. The England side lost their first wicket with just 10 on the board, Jason Roy falling to Alauddin Babu, before paceman Al Amin removed Joe Root, James Vince and James Taylor in a devastating spell to leave the Lions 38 for four. Louis Oosthuizen won the Africa Open by two shots from another South African, Tjaart van der Walt, in East London on Sunday afternoon. The two men shared the overnight lead before a six-under-par round of 67 gave the title to Oosthuizen, the defending champion.

The 2010 Open champion birdied the par-three 17th, Van der Walt making bogey at the same hole, to settle the result. Oosthuizen shot an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys today to finish with a four-round total of 25 under par. Van der Walt started the final day impressively, with birdies in his first three holes, but he picked up only two more birdies and a bogey to go round in 69.

Retief Goosen finished third, three shots off the lead, after he also finished with a 69. Goosen had a birdie and an eagle in his first three holes, but his challenge faded and he picked up just two more birdies and a bogey. A fourth South African, Jaco van Zyl, finished fourth. Scotland’s Alastair Forsyth was fifth, one shot further back, after a closing round of 67. England’s Danny Willett could only manage a 73 to lie seventh.
