It was a moment of heartfelt joy and community when the team at the Parks Department rallied behind Leslie and said they would help her run her campaign on “Parks & Recreation” (Thu., 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC). But that euphoria only lasted a few moments as they quickly realized they had no idea what they were doing.

Leslie picked Ann as her campaign manager, and everyone had assignments toward making her first big public rally a huge success. They even secured an appearance by a former local sports hero to endorse Leslie and recreate his famous slam dunk. But when it all came together, they quickly realized that none of it had come together. In fact, Jerry was the only one who came through for Leslie, though after seeing that nothing else did, the gang was of course mad at him for doing his job.

KHABARI CROSSING, Kuwait — The last U.S. soldiers rolled out of Iraq across the border into neighboring Kuwait at daybreak Sunday, whooping, fist bumping and hugging each other in a burst of joy and relief. The war cost nearly 4,500 American and well more than 100,000 Iraqi lives and $800 billion from the U.S. Treasury. The question of whether it was worth it all – or whether the new government the Americans leave behind will remain a steadfast U.S. ally – is yet unanswered.
